As one of the largest Little Leagues on Long Island, serving the boys and girls of a community of over 30,000 people, the Oceanside Little League is an Oceanside institution that has serviced our dynamic and diverse community since 1951. Indeed, for quite a bit of time, there were two little leagues that called Oceanside home: the Oceanside American Little League and Oceanside National Little League. Both Little leagues operated independently and achieved great success separately, often times opposing each other in various Williamsport Tournaments within Little League's New York District 30. However, in an effort to better serve our community, in line with Little League’s “One Town – One League” initiative, the two leagues merged before the 2015 season. Since that time, the combined, larger league has used the baseball fields of the Town of Hempstead and the Oceanside Union Free School District to play its games and has utilized those fields to do great things for our community over the years, through events such as clothing drives and supporting our wounded warriors by co-sponsoring the Jeremy Feder All Star’s America’s Vet Dog Charity Baseball Tournament. Our league is proud of our many great volunteers and the great players that have gone on to play collegiate and professional baseball.
The future of Little League is bright in Oceanside and we invite you to be part of our League!
